Dear friends, reenactors, professionals and people who are passionate about history!
The Culture Department of Kostanai Region Akimat, with participation of Lisakovsk Museum of History and Culture of Upper Tobol and the State Cultural Center for Amateur Folk Art and Cinema and Video Fund of the Culture Department of Kostanai Region Akimat Culture Department will conduct Third International Festival of Ancient Technologies and Cultural Communications named after Thor Heyerdahl, «Desht Thor», which, due to the epidemiological situation of COVID-19, will be carried out online for the second year in a row.
WHERE AND WHEN?
Date: July 24-25, 2021
The main place: the city of Lisakovsk, Kostanay region, Republic of Kazakhstan.
Speaker platforms: from anywhere in the World.
WHAT FORMAT?
The festival is held in the form of sequential speeches of speakers, published on our website according to the media plan. Both live broadcasts with participants and previously recorded video performances are accepted.

ARCHAEOLOGICAL HERITAGE
LISAKOV ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPEDITIONThe Upper Tobol region is a place in the steppe belt of Eurasia, where dozens of historical and archaeological monuments are compactly located on a relatively small territory, which are of interest not only in historical, scientific, but also in cultural, educational, and tourist terms.
The study of the ancient archaeological sites of Kazakhstan proves that our country was the center of vivid historical processes, ancient cultural communications, globalization of ideas, one of the centers of the formation of the subsequent Indo-European world and the ancestor of the world of steppe nomadic cultures.
The popularization of scientific knowledge is especially necessary in the current situation of the decline of the popular science sphere. And as part of the scientific and educational movement, we have been holding our International Festival of Ancient Technologies and Cultural Communication named after Thor Heyerdahl “Desht-Thor”.

HOW TO BECOME A SPEAKER?
The contingent of active participants in our Festival is quite diverse. We welcome everyone – from professors and doctors of sciences to schoolchildren and history buffs. We support any initiative and are glad to any of your participation.
Our Festival is a platform for communication and exchange of information between specialists in different fields and directions. We believe that museum staff, archaeologists, reenactors, craftsmen and other specialists have something to talk about, learn something new, and exchange knowledge and opinions.
Each presentation by a participant is a 30-minute video. It can be a pre-recorded and edited video clip, or live broadcast.
